Join us for a presentation about the fascinating world of hypnosis research in medicine and psychology. This event will be led by Dr. Ian Wickramasekera, core faculty member at University of the Rockies. He will present some of the most important studies which have shown that hypnosis helps people with all kinds of health problems, including cancer, surgical wound healing, chronic pain, hot flashes, and weight loss. In this free presentation, we will explore the literature on how hypnosis helps people with common problems in psychotherapy such as depression, anxiety, and anger, concluding with a discussion on how hypnosis can be used to help people attain a greater appreciation of their mind/body relationship and higher levels of performance in areas such as sports psychology.
