It takes dynamic dialogue, scholarly inquiry, and critical thought to advance the arts industry—and what better place to discuss these goals and share knowledge than with your peers at Creative Conversations: Exploring Professional Paths in the Arts? To celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month, Americans for the Arts partners with emerging leaders from across the country to hose community Creative Conversations.
Join University College, the college of professional and continuing studies at the University of Denver, for an engaging evening of conversations about current and upcoming trends in the arts industry, career paths and opportunities, and how to strengthen the arts community as a whole.
Begin the evening with keynote speaker Jan Brennan, the director of the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, who will discuss trends affecting the arts and the challenges faced by arts professionals. Bring your business cards to help create community connections that will reach beyond the event! Then join one of four discussion sessions as each relates to the arts:
Prior to joining the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, Jan Brennan served as the Membership & Communications Director for Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, promoting the arts as a tool for innovative and creative business success. As Director of the Gill Foundation’s Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado, Brennan oversaw significant investments in Colorado’s art organizations and led the development of a national model promoting branded philanthropy. Brennan currently serves on the board of the Physically Handicapped Actors and Musical Artists League (PHAMALy).
