Experience a Different Side of Your Library

Winner of the 2011 ICON People’s Choice award, the Booklovers Ball is one of Denver’s most anticipated fundraising events. Guests enter a transformed Denver Central Library in anticipation of a glamorous and enchanting evening. Martini bars in the Children’s Library, beautifully decorated dining areas in the stacks, a delicious meal served by Footers Catering, and dancing until the wee hours create memories that last all year.

The 2012 theme is “Get a Clue,” celebrating how mysteries of all kinds are solved at the Library. Guests will enjoy an atmosphere of fun and intrigue inspired by the classic detective game. As always, the Ball will also be one of the most entertaining and eco-friendly parties of the year.

When the economy goes down, Library usage goes up. Now, more than ever, the Denver Public Library provides essential free services to families, students, business owners, and job seekers.

With the City budget facing annual cuts, private funding becomes increasingly important to helping the Library keep pace with service demands. As a Booklovers Ball sponsor, you will play a vital role in helping the Library meet the growing needs of our community.

The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation

The Denver Public Library Friends Foundation (DPLFF) has a history of more than 60 years of continuous commitment to the Denver Public Library. DPLFF supports the Library in the accomplishment of its goals and objectives and strives to enhance the Library’s services through advocacy, events and endowment management. DPLFF distributes an average of $1 million per year directly to the Library. DPLFF membership is currently 1,850 strong and growing.
