Volunteer for Minds Matter of Denver!

Minds Matter of Denver brings bright and motivated low-income students from Denver Public high schools together weekly with dedicated mentors to achieve academic excellence and expand educational horizons. The program aims to increase academic performance, improve leadership skills, and obtain college financial aid/scholarships for disadvantaged Denver high school students so they can attend a four-year university. 100% of Minds Matter students attend summer college programs and 100% of seniors have gained acceptance and matriculated into a four-year college with at least one scholarship. Each student is paired with two Denver professionals who act as their mentors, helping them with skills and advising them on opportunities to achieve their potential. Mentors and students meet weekly beginning as sophomores until they graduate from high school. Minds Matter of Denver taps into business and civic leaders in the community to form its 100% volunteer-run staff.

Minds Matter Denver is one of eight Minds Matter chapters across the United States. To learn more, visit the Minds Matter website, http://www.mindsmatterdenver.org or to learn about the many volunteer opportunities, contact Nick Pirnack at pirnack@lgadvisors.com
