More Information About Minds Matter

Minds Matter of Denver is one of 10 Minds Matter chapters across the nation that works to provide high-achieving, low income students with the support necessary for future success. MMD seeks to close the achievement gap and increase college admissions rates for low income students in Denver. MMD offers personalized mentoring and a rigorous program schedule to a selection of Denver high school students. Through Minds Matter of Denver we consistently see an increase in students’ academic performance, improved leadership skills and higher SAT scores. Since its inception in 2004, MMD has had 100 percent of its students apply and get accepted to a four-year college or university with some form of scholarship funding.
