Special Directions and Parking Information

Our social events provide an opportunity to network with Denver's finest Young Professionals in a relaxed, professional environment. So bring lots of business cards, dress like you do at work, and be prepared to present your business and learn about others. We expect people to leave our events with new business relationships and opportunities. We work with who we are friends with, so get ready to foster some new friendships! There is no fee, membership or age requirements for MHYP socials, everyone is welcome to come see what we are all about.

We also feature food and drink specials and a fish-bowl drawing that includes fantastic giveaways and prizes (must be present to win).

About the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals

The Denver Metro Chamber Young Professional group is connecting young professionals in the Denver area through networking, education, community involvement and economic development.

The DMCC YP is an opportunity for young leaders to share ideas and engage with others passionate about making our community a better place to live, work and play.

This organization is a service to the community as well as an opportunity for Young Professionals to experience Denver. The Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals events are open to all young professionals.

About the Food Bank of the Rockies

Food Bank of the Rockies' (FBR's) Social Network is an opportunity to bring together a young-minded, diverse group of men and women looking for ways to give back & kick back at events benefitting FBR. These dedicated individuals volunteer their time and creativity to increase the visibility of FBR and its efforts to Fight Hunger and Feed Hope.

Food Bank of the Rockies (FBR) was founded in 1978 and was known as the Colorado Food Clearing House. Operating from a 900-square-foot schoolroom in northwest Denver, the fledgling organization collected food from nearby Safeway stores and distributed it to one agency.  Today, FBR has extended its reach across Northern Colorado and Wyoming, providing food supplies to more than 1100 hunger-relief programs. Since 1978, FBR has provided nearly 431 million pounds of food to our member agencies, which translates to more than 336 million meals for people in need. Last year, we distributed 39.4 million pounds of food, enough to provide 84,000 meals each day to children, seniors and families in need. FBR is a member of Feeding America.

About the Tears-McFarlane House

A fashionable Denver mansion built at the turn of the 20th century, is prominently sited on the north edge of Cheesman Park in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. It was designed by the important Denver architectural firm of Varian and Sterner, a partnership that specialized in the Neoclassical and Colonial Revival style from the 1890’s through 1901.  While the Tears-McFarlane house is historically significant primarily for its architecture, it is also significant for its association with the development and settlement of the Capitol Hill and Cheesman Park communities in Denver. The Tears-McFarlane house was built for Daniel W. Tears.  The mansion acquired its second owner when it was purchased by Denver socialite, Frederick McFarlane and renamed to the Tears-McFarlane house in 1937.  The property was the 29th historic designation bestowed by the City and County of Denver Landmark Preservation Commission in 1972. The home was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976.
