In December 2015, MHYP will engage in their 5th annual Boot Drive for Place Bridge Academy. Place Bridge Academy is a school within the Denver Public School system serving many refugee families in the Denver area. Students often arrive from places with a warmer climate, and arrive in need of warm clothing to prepare for cold weather.   So, we are asking for warm winter boots to fit elementary school age children.  MHYP will have a live Christmas tree to put the boots under and live music.  Fantastic private venue and award winning food provided by Footers Catering.  And anyone who donates a pair of boots gets a free drink.  

About Place Bridge Academy:

Place Bridge Academy (PBA) is a Pre-K through 8th grade school that operates as a magnet for refugees and speakers of other languages in Denver Public Schools. This results in a student body of over 1,000 students representing over 40 countries and speaking over 60 languages. 96% of students at PBA receive free or reduced lunch, speaking to the high level of poverty represented in the school. Newly arriving students from other countries often come to Denver without warm clothing or winter footwear. The school and community look to fill this need in order to make sure students are warm and safe and therefore able to achieve academic success.

Our social events provide an opportunity to network with Denver's finest Young Professionals in a relaxed, professional environment. So come with an open mind, dress like you do at work, and be prepared to learn about the other professionals in the room. We work with people we like, so get ready to foster some new business friendships! There are no membership or age requirements for MHYP socials, everyone is welcome to come see what we are all about.
