Our Table of 10 events provide MHYP members an opportunity to meet and converse with top-level business, community, and social leaders in Denver. These lunches will give you exclusive access to people who's time is at a premium, in a setting that promotes open conversation. Come excited, and ready to ask questions and learn from the best Denver has to offer.  This exclusive event is limited to 10 attendees and registration opens on Wednesday one week prior to the event at 10am.

About Matt Johannsen

Matt Johannsen is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner (Lion Tamer) of Denver, CO based Upstairs Circus, a one-of-a-kind social bar where patrons gather to create, drink and be merry. Upstairs Circus embodies the maker movement by providing its customers with the materials, inspiration and guidance to create unique art and craft projects while enjoying their favorite adult beverage and the company of their friends. Think Pinterest in real life... with your friends and cocktails. Matt and his wife Kelly moved to Denver in August 2011 in the pursuit of happiness and developed the business model for Upstairs Circus to highlight their passions and talents so they could enjoy going to work every single day.

Matt graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2003. He spent his first year after college in Suzhou, China assisting his American based employer, Hankscraft Motors ramp up production overseas. He then spent the following 8 years developing new business and leading the sales team for CSS Power, a value added reseller of power and cooling equipment for data centers. Matt was eventually promoted to VP of Sales and helped grow the business from $4 million to over $30 million in annual sales.

Outside of work, Matt loves to spend time with his family (wife, Kelly and French Bulldogs, Louis and Mr. T) and friends. He has a passion for cooking, eating and staying active. Some of his favorites are snowboarding, hiking, golf, biking, swimming and Wash Park volleyball BBQs.
