KASIA IWANICZKO MACLEOD is the Senior Vice President of Enterprise Business & Community Engagement for Bank of America in Colorado. Kasia’s focus encompasses deepening relationships with the company’s customers and clients, as well as coordinating sponsorships and key corporate social responsibility initiatives, including philanthropic contributions and employee volunteerism. With an extensive community platform derived from personal and professional relationships in the local community. Kasia brings a wealth of experience in the areas of marketing, fundraising, corporate and campaign strategy development, brand placement, product development and project management in the corporate, political, profit and non-profit worlds.

Born in Poland, Kasia moved to Colorado as a child and has developed strong ties to the community through her extensive network and philanthropy. She began her public service career as the first female Student Body President in the history of one of the oldest education institutions in Colorado – Colorado Mesa University (formerly Mesa State College), where she also served as a lobbyist for the State Colleges of Colorado. Kasia has been active in politics as the Western Slope Jr. Campaign Director for several mayoral, senatorial and gubernatorial campaigns. She was the youngest Congressional appointee to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights State Advisory Committee.

Kasia spent nearly six years in Washington D.C. honing her skills in the corporate world, developing, launching and branding new products in the fast paced world of telecommunications, professional services, application/hosting services and healthcare software. She then returned to Colorado to continue her career and began her extensive community involvement.

Over the past decade, Kasia Iwaniczko MacLeod has become known for her strong relationships and reputation within the community, organizing and chairing exciting events for non for profit organizations, which have created a significant following and dedication—of young professionals and socialites alike. She was recognized in March of 2011 by the Denver Business Journal as one of Denver's "Top Forty Under 40" and received the 2011 Sawaya Law Firm Freedom Values Award. In early 2012, Kasia was nominated for the prestiges 2012 Athena Award by the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. In June 2012, Kasia was nominated for the 14th Annual “Outstanding Women in Business.” 

Because of her strong involvement with non-profit organizations, Kasia frequently creates win-win situations by organizing events at a for-profit client venue to benefit a non-profit client. Her strong relationships with numerous local, national and international corporations allow for strong partnerships which are beneficial to both the for-profit and not-for-profit client respectively.

In January of 2011, Kasia launched her own firm and as President & Principal Consultant in 5280 Consulting Group, Inc. bridged the non-profit and for-profit communities together by providing strategy for community partnership pairing within the for-profit sector. In June of 2012, Kasia became one of the founding members of The Vx (Virtual Exchange) is a Technology Platform that turns conversations into results. The Vx is an organization of women currently made up of 80 industry leaders, including senior business executives, national and local women's organizations, corporate governance experts, chancellors of Higher Ed, and CEO’s of large non-profits. The goals of the Vx are to increase women on for-profit boards, sponsorship of women in business leadership and align the future workforce around industry and education. Before joining Bank of America, Kasia was the Colorado Grants & Corporate Giving Manager for Xcel Energy and the Xcel Energy Foundation.

Kasia serves on various boards and committees in the Denver community and her passion continues to be fundraising, networking, philanthropic efforts and non-profits, while ensuring corporations recognize the importance of community engagement. Kasia’s daily mantra continues to be “choose service over self- interest.”
