Marla Lien joined the Regional Transportation District in Denver, Colorado, as Associate General Counsel in 1990. She worked on the development of three light rail lines and also assisted in the acquisition of Denver Union Station.
In 2005, Marla became General Counsel and has since been working primarily on development of the FasTracks program including property acquisition, railroad negotiations, Denver Union Station redevelopment, and the RTD Penta-P Project for the East and Gold Lines also known as “Eagle P-3.” She has worked on major real estate development projects, railroad acquisitions, elections, legislation, project finance, and manages the legal and risk management divisions of RTD.
Marla is currently the Vice-Chair of the APTA Legal Affairs Committee.
