Colorado Legacy Foundation’s 5th Annual “Legacy Luncheon” to celebrate excellence and innovation in public schools
The Colorado Legacy Foundation (CLF)’s 5th Annual Legacy Luncheon will be held on April 17th, 2013 at the Sheraton Denver Downtown. The Colorado Legacy Foundation’s annual fundraising luncheon is attended by as many as 1,500 individuals from across Colorado representing educators, policy makers, foundations, and business and community leaders. The Legacy Luncheon is among the highest profile education events in Colorado and will be an opportunity to celebrate the Colorado Legacy Foundation’s work in innovation in public schools.
The keynote speaker for the 2013 Legacy Luncheon is author, senior fellow at the Center for American Progress, and nationally-recognized leading expert on innovative health care, Dr. Ezekiel “Zeke” Emanuel. Dr. Emanuel has published widely on the ethics of clinical research, health care reform, international research ethics, end of life care issues, euthanasia, the ethics of managed care, and the physician-patient relationship.

This year we will be honoring Sam Gary, Founder of The Piton Foundation and Principal of Gary Community Investment Company, for his many contributions to K-12 education in the State of Colorado. CLF will also honor individuals, schools, districts, and organizations who best exemplify CLF’s values with the 2013 Legacy Awards. The Colorado Teacher of the Year will also be honored.
Tickets for this event are $100. Proceeds will benefit the work Colorado Legacy Foundation is currently doing to facilitating the thoughtful implementation of policies into practice that has found resonance in Colorado and throughout the country.
Luncheon registration opens at 11 a.m. and the Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m.
